These terms cover your use of Cortana (cortanamcc.com), a free Halo achievement tracker run by Cortana MCC. By using the site, you agree to them.
A fan project
Cortana is an unofficial fan project. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft, Xbox, Halo Studios or Valve. Halo, Cortana, Xbox and the related names and images are trademarks of Microsoft; Steam is a trademark of Valve. They belong to their owners and are used here only to describe the games.
Using the site
- The site is free. Looking up accounts doesn't need an account; signing in is optional.
- Don't misuse it: no automated or bulk lookups, scraping, attempts to get around refresh limits, or attempts to break or overload the site or the services it relies on.
- Only sign in with your own Steam or Microsoft account. You can sign out at any time and ask for your record to be deleted, as the privacy page explains.
- Cortana may limit or block use that harms the site or other people.
Data from other services
Achievements, rarity, profile names and pictures come from Steam, Xbox Live and OpenXBL, and guides and videos link to their creators. Cortana doesn't control those services, and your use of them is covered by their own terms. Data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, especially when an account's privacy settings hide it.
No warranty
Cortana is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It may change, be unavailable, or stop at any time. As far as the law allows, Cortana MCC isn't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on what it shows.
Changes and contact
These terms may change; the date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it. Questions go to privacy@cortanamcc.com.
